I have a SA that has very little clutch. When I push it in it does seem to work but something is hitting a gear. It seems like it is the ring gear on the flywheel. Can anyone help me and tell me what i need to do first? Thanks for all your help.

You need to split the tractor and take a look at your clutch. I had the clutch disc on an A relined at a brake shop. I reused the pressure plate. I used it for for plowing and pulling trees after that, encountered no problems with the clutch. Hal

You mite want to check the fingers on the pressure plate they mite nee adjusting. Sounds more like you need a clutch repair kit Pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing and pilot bearing. This can be purchased in one kit for around 170.00

What's happening is that the fork assembly that moves the throw out bearing into the clutch levers is making contact with the spinning pressure plate. It's not a big deal if you don't have to push the pedal down that far to disengage the transmission. If you do, you should consider replacing the clutch because things are worn and not perfect anymore. When everything is right and adjusted proper, that won't happen
