has any one ever changed the complete bottom on a # 8 ih trailer plow. to a newer style bottom.. can it be done?? or better yet can it be done easily?? thank you jerry

Yep, I put a Super Chief bottom on mine. The frog bolted right up through the same holes as the ones that mounted the original bottom. Mine is a single bottom, but I don't know any reason why 2 or 3 bottom or more plows would be any different.

Plows very nicely too.

thank you, i have a 1 , 2 and 3 bottom but the one bottom is the one i want to change. actually i do my plowing with my 3 bottom 710 reset plow.... my intentions are to pull my # 8 single bottom with a forecart and my team of belgians, thanks again ,, jerry from massachusetts

I'd like to see a picture of that set up. We have an old Belgian. My wife volunteers for a theraputic riding center for handicap people. When the horses get to old or are unsuitable for use we take them and spend money on them. That's how we got the belgian. If it came down to me or him, I would be looking for a home.
