Hi,

Does anyone know if an 1066 with 18.4 x 38 rears and an red IH cab will narrow down to 60 inch wheel spacing. I know one without a cab will but I am not sure about the cab and we would like to use in for cultivating.

Thanks in Advance

Jimmy: I know I had my 20.8 at 66 with ROPS cab. If I remember correctly there was about 3" between tire and cab. You should be able to make it with 18.4.

I'm glad your the one running it, even at 66" I was afraid to take my duals off. Like Allan said last week,"I think it blow over in the wind."

It's funny how a guy gets used to that.

I had three of the jokers sucked in on 60" centers and after the first initial "jolt", really didn't think any more about it.

'Course, land in this country is flat as a tabletop too. :>(

Allan: After I set my tractor in from 84" for duals, I only ever had the duals off twice. First and last all in one operation. Why a even dropping in a plow furrow made you feel like you were going over.

Seriously I found tread wear to be far less with duals on. My 1066 went through it's first set of tires in 1,000 hours running single, bias ply. I dualed it with same tire and got between 8,000 and 9,000 hours. My duals were the close space type, had them on both 560 and 1066. Any cultivating I did, I had a 4 row set up for my 130. My larger tractors were always busy with haylage at cultivating time. 130 was quite comfortable on 60" centers, and I could cultivate corn between milkings, and the boys just kept filling silos.

Sure will,

This one was set up to cultivate 30" rows.

I got one just like that without the cab and dauls.

Same spacing also.
