Need to know if the rear end cover and 3pt lift assembly from a 1566 will bolt onto a 1466. My 14 does not have 3pt and i have found a junked 15 with a 3pt but haven't looked at it yet, i know they are different rear ends just not sure if the top half was different too, thanks for any replies.

It will work the lower torsion bar will be the hard part to change over.

Moline Guy: You best do some serious cross reference work, before you lay down your dollars. The rear chassis are different. I'd be more concerned about bottom attachment of lower links than the top lifting unit. Check it out, the 15 did not start production as early as other 66, thus IH likely adapted that rear end to match the hitch already in use. It is a Cat, III hitch as are the 10 and 14, thus common sense would dictate same hitch. However, common sense was not one of the criteria with IH engieers.

As Sun. morning wiles away someone who knows for certain will come along. I bet Tractor Vet knows, and if he makes a statment on it, you can bet money on his statment.

I think it would work. I can say I am 95% sure.
