I found an M with WF and 3 point hitch. The guys wants $1400, but the belly pump is gone and it uses a crankshaft side mount pump. Why do you suppose someone would do that? Live hydraulics I guess. Some guys can sure mess stuff up..... .

Steven----- That is a really nice looking setup. I have a WD45 with a similar setup. I added orbital steering using a hydraulic pump.Don't take me the wrong way, when I say some people can mess stuff up. I am not looking for a Parade Queen as Alan has stated. I don't have great expectations. Having farmed for 40 plus years, I can shoemaker with the best of them.

Thanks for the compliment... just rubs me the wrong way sometimes when people say that I "ruined" an H... I mean, there were only 450,000 of them made!!!!!

LOL have a good one!

Count me guilty of "messing up" my H with live hydraulics and power steering for less than 1/2 the cost of the original type distributor live pump. Shame on those of us that want a useful tractor!

Obviously the tractor now has live hydraulics. Much more useful than the belly pump. $1,400 isn't a bad price if the rest of the tractor suits you.

well, people would do that because they can be had for a few hundred new instead of the 4-600 for a new belly pump. They are also easier to get, to plumb to service the filter. Chances are the guy had the pump laying around and for a few hours of work it was just easier and alot cheaper. There is always a reason. I wouldnt consider it messed up if done properly, it serves its function be it original or something homemade.

=)

Dont like it? Dont buy it =)
