We have been trying to sell off tractor manuals(for several makes) and Farmall parts, but am getting tired of all the ebay tricks. We never seem to get what things are worth. Are there any other auction alternatives? Where is the best place to list things on the net?

Take Rusty's advice list them right here in photo adds, set your price and act accordingly. I bought a couple of small items here in the past few days.

I don't know who's buying on E bay, but they must have a lot more time than I do. At E bay you click on tractors and get everything, same if you click on parts and again with manuals. I don't have time for that nonsence.

Here at YT if I want parts, I click on parts and that is what I get. Same with other catagories. Only proves to me E bay must have bone head sellers that don't know the difference between tractors, parts, manuals, or implements, at least they get a lot of items in the wrong catagory.

Have you ever tried the Advanced Search? With it you can specify minimum and maximum values, exclude items, specify US sellers only. It really speeds up searching for a particular item.

Try Craig's list. They don't charge for most sales or buying.
Check it out, the link is for MN but you will see listing info for any state and citys in them

I always get a kick out of reading where something is over priced or underpriced. Every approach is a market, and supply and demand determines price. Ebay is one market, and the demand there for manuals maby be low at this point in time, therefore they don't bring the price you think they are worth. But if you were looking to buy manuals, thats the place to save a buck or two. Same as selling water, cheap in Chicago but expensive in Saudi Arabia.

Determine the price you want, and list them right here on YT. either in the classifieds or the photo-ads.

I quit selling on ebay about 6 months ago. I was spending way too much time listing and trying to keep up with all of the policy changes, only to have ebay swallow up all of the profits.

The trick is to start bid at the price you want. That is what I do sometime it works and times it dont. Thats why they call it an auction.
