I"d like to replace the rubber boots on my 100"s steering assembly"s tie rods. So I removed the pin and nut from the bolts connecting the steering arm to the tie rods but the bolts won"t slip out of the steering arm. Are these bolts threaded to the steering arm? Can I hit them out with a hammer? Do I apply heat, etc? I"d appreciate any tips or advice! Thanks!

ohh yeah it's called a tie rod seperator . handy tool to have . the fork on the end should be interchangable because you might need to buy a larger fork for the end to accomadate different size tie-rods .

you need a special tool i will look it up cause i can't remember the exact name but if somebody else knows . you can buy one at hardware stores usually . you probably could pound it out with a punch but i don't know if it would damage it
