Just picked up my first Farmall A, changed all fluids, new plugs etc. runs great. Need to change the brakes and axle seals, must have oil soaked brakes, have to push real hard to stop with brakes, see fluid leaks on wheels. Bought manuals at Red Power in Bloomsburg last month, none show brake replacment. Any tips or directions from those who have done this before?

Have fun with it and be careful. These offsets are more prone to roll over then any tricycle ever was. The final drives will have to be removed for the brake replacement, and maybe the differential shaft too. Been 20+ years since I put brakes on one of them.

Getting antique tractors is like getting tatoos. Once you get your first it's only a matter of time before you get more.
