We are working on a 10-20 indusrtial right now. Our serial number plate says it is a 26 but it has the late frame and square governor, splined axles, etc. Mike should know the most about them, i assume the plate is wrong on ours or ih numbered the industrials differently. Which is it mike? LOL. I'm pretty sure this was a complete tractor and no reason to change the gas tank support that i could see. The fordson rears are strange, are you sure it just doesn't have angle barred rear lugs and looks fordson to you? Those industrials are really interesting.

After reading the above post about the pintle hitch, could it be that is what is on yours? I do know that they made pintle hitches as early as 1918. Saw two on early 1918 crawlers made for the army in WW1. They had Holt under carraige, A BIG Winton 6 cyl engine, and the armor plate was made by Diebold safe company and right on the back were BIG Pintle hitches for pulling the big guns with. these units never made it to France as the war ended and the Army cancelled the contract. This guy had 2 of them. The only other weird looking hitch I have seen is the hillside hitch. They seemed to be popular in Pennsylvania.

Having a couple of I-20s around here, I doubt very seriously that if the rear axles are splined that it's a 1923. Is there no serial number plate still on the gas tank support? That would tell the story. Lacking that, the number on the engine block would be the next best place to look.

I would love to see pics of it! I have seen in person orchard 10-20s, Narrow tread 10-20 and a 10-20 style power unit but not one of these. I checked a small book I have but it doesn't list those. Got to be a rare bird.
