On the Super C, the sensor is mounted on the right side of the radiator inlet at the top, the part that is also the fan mounting bracket. Not sure what the fitting is, but it looks to be a 1/8" or 1/4' pipe thread, and is tapped into inlet, on the flat below the upper bolt. Being on the right side, you can route the cable through clips bolted into the holes you'll find at the front and rear of the engine block, just above the rod from your throttle lever to the governor, and below the plugs. In my experience, you'd do best to get the inlet off the tractor to drill and tap it for whatever thread the sensor comes with, rather than try to do it on the tractor. And in my furher experience, if you're not set up to make sure you drill and tap straight and clean, you might consider having a machine shop do it for you. It can be might hard to get a thread started in cast if you don't have the right tap for it.(That was an expensive lesson; I'll spare you the gory details!)
