Guess it's time to bite the bullet before winter sets in and the loader goes back on for feeding the critters. :>(

This is what the tractor sees when he's going to town to get a new engine.

Dont take this the wrong way but it must be nice to rebuild a good running tractor, or is it not running and the flapper is bent.

Hi John,

It's pumping oil on two cylinders; pretty bad too. I just don't wanna be changing plugs out there on the prairie when it's below zero and a 50 knot wind this winter.

Flapper is just fine. :>)

Well a tractor doesn't think or see, but I can put it in human perspective because I had a kidney transplant in 1991. I would be thinking "well the old one threw craps, thank goodness I am getting a new one". That's if I was a tractor.

Allan, Allan, Allan. I can still see the fence through the smoke. Since it is not the rings, are the rods loose?

Given that you are thinking about loader duty, I assume you are sticking with gas? Maybe I assume too much....what did you decide to do with the ol gal?

Closest diesel I could find was in North Carolina with transportation to about Illinois. Just couldn't find one any closer, so this morning I just told the Red Shop to go ahead and "make 'er new again".

The gas is okay on the loader; sure starts nice in the wintertime anyway and that heater is throwing heat in a hurry. :>)

"Make er new again" you must be doing something right if you can have all them IH's looking and running new again. By the way, what did you have to give for that litle heater you installed on her, I have one brand new I need to sell before I stick it some where that I wont even remember I have one.
