The A that I purchased to keep out of the bone yard has another problem, the rear wheels are different. One is a stamped wheel and the other is a cast wheel, what should be on a 1946 A? Thanks for the help as I am trying to get it fixed up enough so someone might want it to restore. Gary

they were made that way do you want another heavy one to match as that was an option. If you are going to fix up for resale better get some sort of manual so you have things original sure will bring more $$ when selling.

Thanks for the info. If I can get the steering a little tighter, and some new tires on the back this is going to be a nice little tractor. I probably should keep it to go along with my 1934 w 30, 52 super c farmall 300 and my D2 cat.

It wouldn't be uncommon to find a stamped wheel on the left and a cast wheel on the right. Makes her less tippy on the turns and the left-hand slopes. A lot of them shipped that way from the factory.

That is not a problem, that is how it came from the factory.

The cast wheel should go on the right side, the stamped wheel goes on the left. This is too counterbalance the offset weight of the engine so that it doesn't tip over on right hand turns or on a hillside.
