I'm using Modern View because it's more like other forums I vist around the web. I can understand some of you are reluctant to use the newer style, and perhaps it may be because you are unfamiliar with the features of the new set up. I'd like to help out and answer questions to get you started (if you would like) because I believe the ease of use for everyone can only make this board better.
The feature I think would most help out would be posting pictures. The ease of posting a picture on the "Modern View" is leaps and bounds easier than having to use all that old HTML code for the "Classic View".
To post a picture, first you need to host it on the internet. In order to do that, you need a hosting service. If you don't have your own website, there are several places that will do it for free, if you can just ignore the advertising. I prefer>LinkDirect link to image Highlight that and copy it. Post that URL onto your post in the forum, and then highlight it. Hit the "IMG" button at the top of the message body, and it will encase your picture URL with the image code. No need for you to remember or type out anything! And your picture is displayed for all to see, which makes getting questions answered and showing off your pride and joy a whole lost easier!

Here is my son on the tractor we looked at today. This took me about 30 seconds to host and post. Please let me know if you need help. I only want to make people's experience in YT better, and since I know squat about tractors, maybe I can help with the new forum type. third party image

Never again will I use the classic view. Love the modern view. Especially the part where active topics stay at the top of the page instead of getting lost on the second page or further in a few hours. Now we just need sigs banners and avatars and I will be in tractor forum bliss.

I may change my mind at sometime in the future, but, at the present, I still prefer the old format much over the new format.

I've tried the new forum and I know how to use it, but I like the old forum much much better. It is much easier and quicker to post on than the new forum. I use the older forum all the time.

I'll never switch to the new forum. Posing pics on the classic is as easy as copy and paste also. Doug N

I guess cause it's different and I don't like it. I'm fine with the classic. Too many new things too learn with the new. I'm not old, but I am old fashioned. Doug N

You are going to ruin that boy. First thing you know you will have to buy a farm.

I'll probably switch, or at least try when I get a little more time to devote to it. I have been so busy working crop insurance claims in Oklahoma that I hardly have time to check in here ever other day or so.

Your son is big enough to drive that! I think I started around 9 or 10. My dad traded a superMTA because I was too small to use the brakes. He was afraid I would get hurt since you either had no brakes, or if you stood on them hard enough, they would lock up. The new 706 had hydraulic brakes. At that time I was on top of the world with a new 706. Now wish I had the SMTA back. Your son will be good help on tractor fixin' projects. Have fun.

I used Modern view the other night but my bookmark took me back to Classic and the link doesn't show up unless I post something and log in. Guess I'll have to bookmarket in Modern view.
