Installing this tune-up kit on the B. Is there some trick to getting the top half of the points and condenser free? The nuts on that alternator post that leads outside to the coil fit no wrench that I own. Something/32nds I would guess. Currently trying to get them free with needle nose pliers but I doubt I can snug them in good with these. Any tips?

11/32nd is the size. There aint now alternator post you must have something else in mind as a mag dont have any voltage applied as it makes its own voltage the wire going to the sw is a grounding type for stopping the engine.Hope you didnt take of the front cover where the gears are that turn the rotor or you will get the rotor out of time and it wont fire at the tower.

I hate it when I do that! Been working on both sides of the engine at once and that's not a good thing. Now....staying focused....it is a DISTRIBUTOR post that leads to the coil. Now off to the hardware for some ignition wenches....er...wrenches.

A set of US ignition wrenches will do it. I know how it is with more tools, but I find those little boogers to be great for many things I didn't know i needed to fix. JimN
