"right then" and "t.r.y." had the exact same user i.p. within just a few mins. i know dial up uses diffrent ip each time a user logs on.....but when the same i.p.comes up with in a few mins and this sight isent that popular....."t.r.y." and "right then" were infact the same person or at leat the same computer. for dial up to give out that same i.p. address within a few min and ending up on the same site and same forum is not proabble. Look at "t.r.y" after he responds hours later after he clearly logged off and re logged on his ip changed. All i was getting at is if you wanna same somthing anything at all n o matter how another might not like it use you regular handle. he even admits t.r.y. isent his reg handel. but late last night or early this morning he made two post the first was using the handle "right then" and he said i was talking to my imaganary friend....then i notticed in the next post just a min or two appart the same i.p. address and the handle T.R.Y. you can look for your self and you will know what im talking about. I always use my handle and never change it just so i can say somthing and get away with it. It is not a big deal, but i know in my heart of hearts it came from the same person or atleast the same computer. i know ip addys change on dial up and even on always on connections like mine hughes net because when i logg off and relogg on it pings the server and i end up getting on a diffrent "pic" thus the ip changes. No matter what, if it was a serious threat the ip can be traced back to the user just like they can tell what cell tower you made your cell phone call from. do you always get the same "pic" or "line" when making a cell phone call...no it is random pic and that data is recorded. cell towers have "trunks" and within a "trunk" there are "pics" so in big cities there will be many trunks thus alot more pics a cell phone can use. thats why if you were to listen in on a phone call you would not know who it was because there are so many "pics" and if your going fast on a freeway you get transfered to a new trunk and pic. However if you have the GSM smart card id number you could clone the number and possibly listen in to there conversation and know who it is. on alot of handsets they call it the IMEI number. to make a long story short it was the same computer used for both posts. I have an uncle who is a tech for sprint and installs hardware and knows alot of tech codes for VOIP and runs beta tests for Other communcations that run thur the sprint lines and towers. basicly all dial up works the same. Sorry the long post and tech b.s. but it is what it is. if it looks like a duck..... ...you know the rest. jonnny2006

Look at Georgeky and my address, does that mean we are one in the same. You need to get busy on that MD and quit spendin so much time on here. Like mentioned below, there are hundreds of people on the same IP address. Doug N

I went thru this about a month or two ago. I got blamed for a post, then answering myself. It was a post to start sh*t, and I got blamed. IP adresses can change as fast as you can sign off and sign on again. I also have dial up and get a different address every time I sign on.

Same IP address doesn"t mean it"s the same computer, just same server. Doug N

Never been to NYC. I would like to go someday just to see the tall buildings. Me and the computer are sitting here in Montgomery county, Ky. I have also been thinking about a trip up the coast to stop and see the Iowa class Battleships that are docked. I think one is in Norfolk and one in New Jersey. Sure would like to see those old girls put back to service.

Jonnny there's one thing you need to take in consideration A company has 500 computers and 300 employees using the computers at the same time.

Ever employee has the same i.p. number.

For that company is connected to one server.

There FOR YOU COULD HAVE three hundred that you don't like.

Mike, I have read that in WW II they either drank or distilled torpedo fuel as a substitute for hootch. Ever hear that?
