Has anyone done a close gals per hour test on their Super H? I did one this week. Mowing for 2.6 hrs I used 4 gals of fuel for a 1.53 gph run. I was in 3rd at about 1500 rpm on level ground. Like to hear some other performance figures. I think mine are high because of low compression test numbers and using a little oil. About a quart every 10 hours. What are you guys seeing for oil usage? BTW our 3rd cut of alfalfa was a bust . About 1/4 of the second cut. But we all knocked it down because of the recent rains, and we're hoping for a nice cut in Sep. (Alfalfa is 28 day cycle crop here.) Gordo

Mine will pull an 8 ft disk all morning, mabey 4 hours, and then go out after lunch again till around 3 and only drink just under 5 gal gas. Theese are the old rock flex disks made for the tractor, not real heavy ones, but they are still in to the axle. Mike

I have a 72 inch mower on my H and it had about 8 gallons in it and i mowed 4 achers in 1st and second (tall grass dint wanna re mow it) running about 1700 rpm flat ground lots of stopping and starting because of trees, and windmills and such. ran for about 3 hours mabey a little more or less and when i was done it had 1/4 tank left. so it used about 4 gallons. grass was tall and i went much slower and had rpm up much higher. with my super H pulling wagons for 8 hours it will use 6-9 gallons. good strong engine, also note i have all my tractors set up for more power and not as concerned about saving gas. but your use seams normal to me. oil use seams a bit high. but then again when the tank is low i just fill it.

My 54 Super H runs 6+ hours on 5 gallons of gas and still has some left when raking hay in 4th at an idle. It uses no oil. Very Nice Super H
