Who else has noticed that the time shown when you post is in GMT. (Greenwich Mean Time). That is the latitude line in England which runs through the town of Greenwich. Since this website can be read by anyone in the world it makes sense to have a standard time not a local time. So, no the computer clock is not "off". Any of you guys who where in the military will instantly recognize GMT. I need to work on my tachometer but the temp here is 102 in the shade. Time for some of that "Lemonade". :)

Does ANYONE really know what time it is? in reply to HughB, 08-13-2007 13:28:12
Does ANYONE really know what time it is? (By "Chicago")

As I was walking down the street one day
A man came up to me and asked me what the time was that was on my watch, yeah
And I said

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We've all got time enough to cry

And I was walking down the street one day
A pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had stopped cold dead
And I said

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We've all got time enough to cry

And I waq walking down the street one day
Being pushed and shoved by people trying to beat the clock, oh, no I just don't know
I don't know
And I said, yes I said

Background:
People runnin' everywhere
Don't know where to go
Don't know where I am
Can't see past the next step
Don't have time to think past the last mile
Have no time to look around
Just run around, run around and think why

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We've all got time enough to die!

Good explanation, but I think you mean longitude rather than latitude. (Greenwich is at zero degrees longitude, the equator is at zero degrees latitude.)

I Call It Miller Time in reply to HughB, 08-13-2007 13:28:12
Boys, I call it "Miller Time" in August, with the red juice in the little glass tube hitting 100.
Military Term: "Phase 5"

Mine looks like it could be Pacific Daylight Savings Time, but in military time format. I usually don't look at the time stamps but I did post a little while ago and it shows it to be 14:19 which would be 2:10 pm PDT.

Well, it's 6:40PM here in PA at the moment, so I'll see what "comes up". Also figured the site uses PDT.
