What can ya share about a Jet Star 3.

I know it's newer than the only Moline I've ever driven. And that's all I know about it.

I'd seen this thing about the neighborhood with new paint on it but it was far enough back from the road I couldn't tell what it was. Then it disappeared. It just popped up again in the yard of a fellow who died tragically (boating accident) and too young at 63.

I ain't vulturin' as I have no business spendin' any money on tractors until gainfully employed, but was wonderin' what a tractor like this might bring. The guy's reputation is such that he wouldn't have painted it and had it done up as NICE as he did if it weren't in something close to tip-top shape mechanically (NOT a rattle can job, trust me!). And I aint' been close enough to it to tell ya if it's a gasser or diesel.

Just idly curious.

Give the guy a break. Moline can easily be confused with Farma...

oh wait.

Minne-Mo"s are nice tractors. I don"t know many of the particulars of any of the models. I do know they are quite collectible, so a wild guess as to the value would be somewhere in the $3,000 range.

They are ok if'n you can stand all that yellow.

Guy I know got one cheap a coupla years ago at a local auction, that was a total rust bucket. Minnie had sat out in the brush for probably 20 years. One rear rim rusted to bits, tires all rotted, engine tight.

A year or so later and it now looks like it belongs in a showroom. What's kinda neat about it, is that it has live PTO, 3PH, power steering and two rear remotes. Other than the engine rebuild, new clutch, new tires and wheels and some minor mechanical work, it was mostly a cosmetic redo. Everything else actually worked fine once he got 'er fired up.

No clue what model it is (think he said it was made in the mid-50s), but it's about the size of an M, narrow front, maybe 45-50HP?

'Course you need a good pair of sun glasses to stand next to it on a sunny day.
