I'd suggest checking your ground at all the critical points, starting with the battery. Not just tight, but clean and bright connections. Just by way of example, My SuperC had been having what seemed starting and charging issues for about a year. Out of nowhere, this summer, she wouldn't take the simple load of moving herself around. The battery ground is very short on the SuperC, happens inside the battery box, on about a three-inch cable from the rear of the battery to the steering support. I fixed two things. The thread on the tractor end of the ground cable was goobered up, so I drilled it out and re-tapped it for 7/16" instead of the original 3/8". The copper eye was soldered on to the tractor end of the cable but I had a simple arch clamp on the battery terminal. I fluxed out and laid some solder into that connection. It pretty much filled the entire short piece of cable with hard solder, making it inflexible. The tractor starts and runs well now. Just watching the ammeter, though, I think I may still have some issue with how it's charging, and need to take a better look at the generator and regulator, and I'd suggest you look there next if the problem persists after making sure you've got good grounds. Couldn't hurt to check the connections to the hot stud on top of your starter, too, before going much further.
