could ya share with us a 'front porch tale' from that fine front porch of yours? Front porches, I see a few more being built now-a-days. Porches, good for settin', hanging laundry from, yup, even when it rains, enjoyin' the cool front that can move in, taking with it a hot-humid front during a rain and ya stay nice and dry and refreshed. Lemonade and a cookie or two; watchin' a sunrise or sunset; reflecting on the day passing or anticipating the day to come. Aahhh, a front porch.

Al: A day late, yesterday never really ended, what with finding all the necesities of life. Found my tooth brush today, been without that one since Thurs. The young folks got a wee bit carried away here late yesterday, taxed the water system a bit too much refurbishing the flower gardens. Just about the time everyone was ready to have a shower and turn in, the pump lost it's prime. Sand point and it wasn't coming in as fast as going out. I worked until midnight, no luck, then back at it at 4 am. This time paid off.

Today the young folks left for home, Marg. and I planned on taking it easy, yet found ourselves looking for something at every turn.

Now, for the tale. A former neighbor, died in 1956. I remember him quite well, claimed he fought in the war of 1812. Not quite sure he was that old, however he claimed he got hit in the abdomin by a fired cannon ball. When asked if he got hurt, He said, "It knocked the wind out of me." That is as good as I can do tonight, not sure which was the biggest lie, his age or the cannon ball.

Al, I like your way of thinking. The porch is my favorite part of the house. Even built one on my garden shed, so I can sit and watch it grow as the sun sets over it.

I bet that's a nice place to sit and have a cold drink when you get tired of hoeing in the hot sun. Have to keep that idea in the back of my head!

Dave, I try my very best to avoid that hoeing if possible. Run that Super C through a lot. Sometimes it has to be done though. I call it my summer house. It is a 12 by 14 with a bed, and kitchen table in it. Sleep out there sometimes.

georgeky, now that is something I will have to keep in my head. I'm sure it would be relaxing listening to a gentle breeze, crickets and the late evening birds. Thanks for sharing, now, SHOW US A PICTURE!!

I got the bug at the last tractor show I was shopping....er viewing....that a Super C or Super A would be a REAL handy item for the veggie garden. The B is a real nice driver for cruising the country roads....put 4 miles on it just this evening...but no hydraulics makes it unattractive for the garden. You can shoot me that picture if you want, I'd like to see it and will try to post it. E-mail is open.

No better than a SA or SC for any crop work. I would be lost without mine.
