Well after two and a half months of soaking pistons in first marvel, second liquid wrench, third pb baster and even trying the put a little bit of gas and diesel in the cylinder and light it up I am still where I was in June with a stuck motor. I don't believe number 4 is stuck because the oil seaps through in a matter of about an hour or so. As far as the other three, they are stuck like chuck. What are some thoughts on what would happen if I put a bind on the tractor with a winch or with another tractor where the pistons have some pressure on them and then light the 3 stuck cylinders up? Would that hurt anything, or does anyone else have any thing I haven't tried yet?

I can say from experience, I have tried everything that has been said below. My advice, pull the motor out of the tractor, take it down to the block and crankshaft and haul it into a machine shop. The local engine shop/machine shop pressed out my stuck pistions and sleeves for $30... Best way to do it right, with out screwing up the block from a missed sledge hammer blow that was supposed to hit the wood driver. Been there done that.

..like that once. Took the head and oil pan off and drove out 2,3,& 4 with a wood shaft and "persuader". No. 1 was stuck tight! Drilled 1/2 inch holes through the top(missing wrist pin area) and 'encouraged' it to come out, it did. Needed another sleeve and piston anyway. I had tried the snake oil and heat, diesel, light tapping, bottle jack, etc to no avail. Direct force usually works.

Lots of good ideas here, I"ve seen the grease gun trick work. I"ve also heard you can do the same thing with a fitting and the reomte hydraulics from another tractor or a porta power, I remember my brother taking an old farmall H engine that had been sitting with no head on it for years and finally getting it apart by taking a pressure washer and coming in from the bottom side and blasting around the pistons till the water would blow thru on the top side. after that the pistons came right out and we were able to save the crank and rods. have also been told that taking the head off and hitting the piston with a shot of propane to freeze the piston and then wacking it with a hammer and block of wood will sometimes work.

I've never done this but I can see how it would work. Guys say they fab up some kind of plug with a grease fitting in the end of it to thread into spark plug hole. Attach a grease grease gun to the fitting and pump till she pops. It would take a lot of grease and be messy, but I could see it working good.

One like that its time to do as Rusty say and pull the engine. After you have pulled the engine some times you can take a wood blck and a big hammer and drive them out the bottom BTDT a few times. Some enignes will not pop free not matter what you soak them in. I had one that it took a 12 ton press to get the piston out of the sleeve.

If those pistons were going to come loose, they would have done it by now. It is time to remove the engine from the tractor, strip it down, and take the block to a machine shop and see if they can press those pistons out. If the pistons have to be broken to get them out, then do it. Any piston that is stuck that severely in the sleeve will not be salvageable, and neither will the sleeve.

I have an A that was stuck until saturday. I had been soaking it in penetrating oil for several months. I tried pulling it with another tractor and popping the clutch, but I had no luck. Friday night I pulled the head and tapped the pistons with a wooden block. All came loose but number 3. Then I upgraded to a 3 lb. sledge hammer, but no luck on number 3. I took a large punch and put it toward the edge of the piston and tapped lightly. I worked around the outside of the piston in a circular motion. After about three times, it popped loose. Motor sounds good when cranking, but have carb problems and have not gotten it started yet. Hope this helps.
