Coil has no spark. Done replaced with a good coil, but still no spark. Current got through to the coil from the switch. Any idea is greatly appreciated. Thanks

use voltemeter or test light . should have voltage to switch side of coil, and on the distributor side of coil you should see voltage/no voltage as the points open and close. If no voltage, bad coil, shorted condenser, etc.

I would replace the condenser and clean the points. You need to check that switch if voltage is being fed to the coil with the switch in the off position. I hope this is a distributor that you have. Hal

Magneto or Distributor?

Did you wire the coil correctly? If not, the coil will burn out.

Yes, I did have the wires connected right. I also have another cub that is working. I placed the coil on the bad cub to the working cub and it is working. I placed the coil that was on the working cub to the bad cub, and no spark. I'm out of ideas.

If the coil works and is wired right, you have a different problem. Is this a distributor or a magneto? You should put in a new ignition tune up kit, the are not expensive and should include new points, condenser, rotor and points setting gauge.
