Yes you are correct the sediment bowl goes in the starter tank and the shutoff valve in the main tank. Got a early H owners manual and lots of pictures to prove it. Lights were not quite the same, electrical connector on the back is rectangular. There is a pair on eBay now for $100. But actually there is some debate on if the likes were actually offered in 39. Somewhere I originally read mid 40s or possibly 41, if memory serves me right. It might be in Guy's book. Read the thing multiple times and still learning. I'm trying to pin down for sure. I don't actually believe a rear light was offered right at first, or if it was it was just a simple plain light light light the fronts, not a "dual" offering with the red tail-light. Lens might have been different than the front. The very early ones also had a "two-point" mount for the rear light. A cast piece that connected under two of the transmission cover bolts. Original style square channel frame seat support and flip seat. Hope you have lots of money. Hard to come by and very pricey. Also you need to check the casting dates on everything to make sure it matches and has not been pieced together or had major parts replaced. Working on one of these if you want to get it correct is a true labor of love and tedious. In my opinion. I have one.
