Does anyone know if an H hub will fit on a 1935 F12 spindle. Also would like to know if there is anything else I can do to my F12 to help it start easier when the engine is not warm. You have to crank it 15 to 20 times to start when cold, but after running just a couple of minutes, it starts with a 1/4 turn. We advanced the timing of the magneto when it would not start warm and now it starts great warm and runs pretty good. Any help would be appreciated. On a side note, 3 of the 4 tractors I bought at the sale on the first are running. The fourth (super m) does not have a head and is stuck. Thank, Lee

your cranking issue is a gas issue not hot or cold related.when a 12 sits the gas in the carb bowl evaporates and the fuel pumps takes a few turns to fill bowl again.you can fix this by using your primer in the multi fuel 12"s or tap the line 3 inches befor carb and prime the carb befor starting when cold.just spent several frustrating cranking moments and a lot or elbow learning this little priceless bit of info.got tired of having to be pulled by jd folks at the shows.

I herad from someone that you can put H centers on an F-12, but you cant put F-12 wheels on an H because of the axle size difference like Bill mentioned. In fact I think there is, or was a member on here who had an F-12 that came with H wheels on the rear end, and he kept them on there due to the higher price of F-12 rims.

In fact heres proof-

Sorry forgot to mention the one on the link is an F-14, but they are still the same axle size as the F-12.

I did that twice, bill, but not that many miles. The second time was a friend who said he was sure they came off an f-12 so i didn't bother to measure. Came up with two sets for an h, third time was the charm, after i measured.
