Have a clutch that will not disengage. What is the best way to free up with out splitting tractor?

Drive it up a steep hill with about 20 tons behind it keeping your foot on the clutch.(you will need to bump start it on a down slope) Prayer helps as does cussing

First off block the clutch pedal down. Then as the other guy says drive it around in as high a gear as you can which menas starting it in gear or jamming it into gear. Or this also works some times. Pull the starter off and spray brake cleaner into the clutch area with the pedal blocked down, turn the engine a little at a time so you get the whole clutch area.

oops,, I did forget to mention to hold the clutch pedal down at the same time didnt I, my bad,, I remembered on the second scenario haha, have a good one pat

IF you have land and lots of room to run a tractor around in circles----

I have had luck starting in gear , make sure there is plenty of room!!!!! !!!! the higher the gear the better, and driving it in a circle and hitting the opposite side brake that you are traveling,, some times it takes a little while sometimes it releases quickly,,, it will jarr you and the tractor a bit but it usually frees the clutch,,

My fil had luck taking his ford 2810 for a long ride from his town property to the property on the hill, about a 1/2 hr trip by tractor,, he had his foot on the clutch the whole way.. about 5 minutes to go up the last hill it finally freed up,, I think as he was going up hills with a strain on the trans he would tap the brakes a bit,, he aint as aggressive as me I guess,,

give it a try you wont be out anything, pat
