100 could use new chews (shoes)

Ran up on one new 9.5 X 24 tire $75.00, I have 12.4 X 24. rim"s on the 100 checks 11" wide could I mount the 9.5 on my rim"s. If I could I mite just buy another tie to match the 9.5.

The 12.4"s on the 100 are not loaded and the rims look good from the outside. I had rather have the 9.5"s to slow"er down some.

I missed out on the last deal, new tires on a junker, $250 swap out yours for these. Still kick"in my self for slow play"n the deal till they were gone. Mine have got to the point I call"em flip flops.

FWIW I have a pair of 11.2-24 long bar/short bar tires in the barn that have probably 95% tread on them.

11.2-24 is the old 10-24 size. I think it's a step down from a 12.4-24.

Hobo, I will say they will go on the rims and inflate, but the following will be found:
They look ugly because the sidewall will have no bulge, just taper up to narrow tread
They will ride very harshly, sidewall flex is very important to tire dynamics, and it will not have proper flex.
The footprint of the tire on the ground will be poor. Los of traction, and wear on tread bar ends will be more likely. JimN

Hey Hobo, What's up? I guess you all are dry too. Do you run across many used tires down your way? I have a Allis C with a 5' mowin deck that I bought back in the spring that has almost new 8.3x24s on it. I would like to go bigger. I know an 11.2 and a 9.5 were made, but ain't there somethin between them? A 10 something?

11.2s would also look good on the 100, but if it were me, I would not go smaller than that. You will think you are goin uphill all the time!

Don't run across many tires cept what I see on craigslist. Its rite dry here also, does not look like we are going to git much rain either. Most folks did not make anything out of their garden. If not for pond water I would have not either. I have never had a problem with Deer till now, they have found my beans to be tasty at lest the tops. Good to here from ya take care.

I think they are bout ready to open part of the 421 bypass up, from #1 to old 42 near broadway.
I live just off the new bypass, Colon rd.

An option I did not mention would be to take the rims to a Machine shop, and have them narrowed to 8, or 8.5" width and rewelded. A plasma cutter would do it well. JimN
