How do I get my throwout bearing out of my M to replace it. The engine is out of it but the bearing and everything in the bell housing is still there. Thanks

Remove the spring that returns the clutch pedal then disconnect one end of the reach rod outside the housing that goes from the clutch pedal to the pivot shaft. The throwout bearing can then come forward off the carrier. The bearing will be pressed on the cast iron sleeve with the two bosses. A good auto parts store that does automotive machine work can replace the bearing for you if you don't have a press for it.
