I've had a 560D for a few years now and hydraulics always worked quickly and without problems. I bought a heavier disk, 16ft Oliver 252 with foldup wings and dual wheels. This disk probably weighs again as much my 12ft. Problem is when I try to lift the heavy disk, the tractor pushes the cylinder out to the point where it first begins to lift the weight, then stops. My 706 lifts the disk fine, and the 560 still lifts the 12ft disk fine. Is the 560 just not made to lift this much weight, or do I have hydraulic pump problems? Thanks in Advance

Clay

The size of the cylinder matters. I know two different people that had to buy bigger cylinders for their JD 7000 4 rows so their M,s would raise them. Lee

Lee: How good was the hydraulic output on those Ms? I never had much experience with belly pumps.

I can see your point, clearly it is pounds per square inch, however farm implements just aren't that heavy to over burden a farm tractor with good working hydraulics. I suspect had they rebuilt the M hydraulics, it would have lifted the 7000. My Farmall 300 would lift a 7000 with ease, and it was no better than dad's H with belly pump on the 31 loader. In fact the IH dealer was stymied 3 years trying to make the 300 as good a the H on that loader. Finally Dad got fed up and bought a Cockshutt with a Wagner and front mounted pump for loader work, mainly because he wanted the 300 in the field.

Clay: Must be the tractor hydraulic system. Your 560 should lift any of those disks running at 800 rpm. Size of cylinder bore shouldn't matter, small one is just going to lift it faster, and probably buckle under the weight if you use it very much.

I quite regularly used Farmalls 300 and 130 or a case skid loader for moving big implements in the yard for servicing. (20' disks, 25' cultivator, 10' offset disk, 5x16 semi-mount plow, etc) Anyone of those tractors would lift these implements with ease. We even tried to convince a salesman one day that we regularly pulled the 20' disk with Case skid steer going backwards. LOL Not sure he believed us, however he had worn out his welcome.

Many times I've taken large implements to field where 1066 was working and did it with Farmall 130 and probably take the implement he had been using on to next job. I've even put 130 or skid loader on back of dump truck just to operate the hydraulics, moving a large implement.

Our 560D had no trouble pulling and lifting a 14ft. # 37 IH disc. One day a neighber had a #470 IH tandom disc with wings. It was 14ft. wide with wings up and had its own cylinder (16in. stroke with at least 4in. diameter). The 560 had no problem pulling and lifting that with the wings up. With the wings down I think it was 21ft. wide and he pulled it with a 560D and a WD45 Tandom Hitch kit. The 560 hyd. did all the lifting. Armand

You could try lifting the bigger disk with a bigger cylinder if you have one available. Lee

First i would put a high pressure gauge on both of them, and see, as over the years the old what was called back then as high pressure is realy nowdays low pressure and you may find that your 706 may have a 2350 pressure relief and the 560 just may be only pushen 12-1400 .

560 706 should have 1600 psi.
