I just pulled apart my 41 H standard seat and found that it's pretty thin in the area where the toolbox was mounted. Does anybody sell these? Looks like 2" pipe bent almost 90 degrees and crimped down at the seat end. Looks like it could be a problem area for this type of seat?

Upgrade to the deluxe ride seat, much better than the old pipe seat.

Or even better, get a seat off a newer tractor so you can have some real comfort!

It is not schedule 40 pipe, it is called tubing. and the wall thickness is in gauge numbers. Take it to a good sized metal supplier for selecting a new one to be bent. Muffler shops might bend it for you for a few bucks. JimN

Hi dep, The collectors like to keep things original, but the first thing I got rid of on my H, MD, and WD9 was the seats. No way would I spend 5 minutes fixing one. During the 1940's IH never figured out how to make a seat or a jack stand. Good luck, Chuck

Is this the kind that the seat flips over?
