We bought a 1941 farmall MDCH but we are having a hard time finding information on that paticular model. We finally found one referance to it in a book by Guy Fay, but what we found was just when it was discontinued in 1954. We would like to find out more about this model if anyone can help.

A point of interest here. In UK we would never have seen a Cotton Harvester. I read about this someplace model and it said that the cooling fan blows the air out thro' the radiator instead of sucking to stop what I assume is cotton rubish beiing sucked in through the radiator grill, and of course blocking the radiator fins. Is the true? Mike Farmer

Really unsure on that. I am a diary farmer from Wisconsin and I bought this tractor in the spring from an auction in Arizona. We have been trying to find information on this "CH" ever since.

go to yahoo and type in farmall cotton harvester. there is a link about the 5th one down to wisconsin state historical and it shows a cotton harvester mounted on an h. that will give you an idea what the harvester looked like. that would explain those axle trumpets on you tractor.

sounds like it is a cotton harvester platform. i remember reading in guy fays book on letter series the cotton tractors had a reversed operator platform, the tractor was driven backward when the harvester was mounted on it. if i recall he made mention of a kit that i-h produced to flip the operator station around to be used as a normal tractor. there was a trans change too as the cotton tractor had 5 speeds in what normally would be reverse.

That make sense. I just couldn't figure out what the "CH" meant. Never thought of a cotton harvester.

Thank you very much, that would explain alot. I submitted another picture of the rear of the tractor. Would this also explain why the rear axel's would be flared?

Go to 'Is it that rare' just a few questions further down the Forum page. Theres a gent refering to an MCH and it dont take much to assume that the MDCH is the diesel model of the same beast. Maybe he can come up with the info you need. Mike Farmer

You can post the pics here, you need to host them on a web site or upload them to "Tractor Photos" on this site to the left.

Then link to the url

This is really interesting. Does it have a normal International 4 cylinder engine. Mike Farmer

I've heard of an "MD" which is a diesel powered Farmall M, but I've never heard of an "MDCH".

There is a lot of information available for an MD.

Do you have a picture? Where are you getting this model designation from?
