I have a 140 that runs fine, but smokes at idle/low speed like the valve guides are leaking oil. My question is: are valve seals available? Thanks

Valve guides will usually cause smoke on start up only. the oil will seep past the valve guide seals when sitting not being run. Smokin all the time indicates rings to me.

Putting valve seals in it, using cotton rope in the cylinders to hold the valves up for installation, costs three hours and 35 bucks. Do it. I have seen Idle high vacuum oil burning from guides on many units. JimN

Can you use C/A to hold up valves?

Yes, but not as easy or certain. Dropping a valve into a hole is a disaster. ROpe in the plug hole takes 15 seconds, then turn the crank to push it against the valves. Then do the service. JimN

Not OEM, the perfect Circle style can be installed (best) or plane umbrella seals (OK) JimN
