As mentioned in another post, I sold my 140. I knew someone who had a Cub with lots of equipment, so I went back to look at it, and it was still available. It runs good, with no smoke. Has maybe a little blow-by under a load(coming from oil-breather-dipstick). This is barely noticeable, and you have to be looking for it to see it. I got one of those satellite-dish-looking disk plows, a scicle-mower, disk, snow plow, 4 gangs of spring-tooth cultivator assemblies, 2 drawbars. Got all of this for 2000.00. The tractor has original paint, and is EXTREMELY greasy and oilly. Lift works great and doesn't have the "hiccups" I plan to power-wash it today. One wheel has rusted through around valve-stem, but will last a while. Did I make a good purchase, after losing my 140? Only need the Cub for cultivating, as I have a Ferguson to-35 for the heavier stuff.

If it has a small breather pipe form the front of the block to the air cleaner, take it off and clean both it and the fittings where it attaches. That is an early version PVC system, and frequently plugs with sludge causing apparent blowby out the oil filler cap.

Yes, a good price. The Cub is great for garden work.

good purchase , around here just the tractor goes for what you paid .
they hold their value and are very useful.
leave the grunt work to your other tractor.
