I have a IHC Farmall 1206D, SN 11503 S-Y. Does anyone know what the difference is if the badge is painted vs. metal with gold writing on it? I"ve heard that one or the other model only had 300 units made and I"d like to find out which one I have.

yes, yours is a 67' model, your tractor is correct with the metal emblem. The white decal used has been reported several higher than the 65 model tractors up into the early 66 models. Later than originaly thought. Thanks for reporting your serial no.

So, we heard that there were only 300 of one type made. Are you saying there are only 300 made with the badges (metal) or the decals. Also, we have someone who is very much pushing to buy the tractor and we wanted to know if there is more value to those with the decals or the metal badges. Also - do you know what the "S-Y" in the serial number means?

S means Torque Amplifier
Y means 12 GPM hydraulic pump
