I have a 1943 H, in restoring it, I had to replace a rim that was bent. It was a 3-lug style. Bought it, painted and found out that the other one was a "wedge style". Great observation, I know...So, now one is wider that the other. Both are in good shape, rust removed and repainted. Anybody have the same issue and want to trade. I don"t care for which style, just want a matching set on my H. I"ll send pic"s or whatever if interested. I"m in Stillwater Mn. Thanks, Dan

Roger and Scotty...That's the deal, I've got one of each on my H. Looks a little funny. both in in equil good condition, just thought if someone had the same or extra, I'd trade either one to aviod the expense of buying a new wheel and rim. Thanks for your input. Dan

I don't quite understand what you mean by the other one was the wedge type. I thought IH only made two types, one with the 3 brackets riveted to the rim and the other is a smooth rim with wedges to hold the rim on. Depending on which wheel center you have will determine which rim you need. Are you saying that the centers are different? I live just across the river in Wisconsin from Stillwater and I get all my used parts from Downing Tractor Parts in Downing, WI. They are just a mile east of Downing. They will probably trade you for the right one. Roger

I think that' s it, Roger. The two styles of rims, one had a plain center, was held on with wedges and wasn't adjustable for tread width. THe other had offset lugs like the rear wheels and bolted to the wheel and could be turned in and out to adjust the tread. Sounds like he's got one of each.
