Whatcha gonna do with it? The M and Super M tractors are real macho guys, and you feel great sitting up there guiding this big ship. But....they are NOT very convenient for work requiring a lot of maneuvering in close quarters, due to their mass and to the heavy steering effort at slow speeds. If you're looking for a light chore tractor--hauling wood for the fireplace, a little trimming with a small bush-hog type mower, tilling on a small farm, the H is a lot easier to maneuver. The Super H has some advantages--it's the same size as an H, but has nearly the power of the original M (probably without as much torque, however, since the motor is a lot smaller). It has disc brakes, live hydraulics, and a fourth gear that is quite a bit faster--good for light hauling without racing the motor (the H gave less than 6 mph at about 1800 rpm--it always felt like it was roaring away, and a pulling a loaded wagon a mile always seemed pretty slow--there isn't enough torque to pull a loaded wagon in fifth gear with the throttle way back to give you six or 7 mph, which is a good speed on country roads when you're pulling a load of hay or grain). All these tractors--H, M, Super H, Super M--are MUCH more comfortable than the F-series tractors they replaced. But--if you're not into buying these for nostalgic reasons, and you want something really useful and easy to get on and off of, buy something more in the "utility line"--so many tractors in use now resemble the original Ford 9N. I bought one of those some years ago, and was amazed at how easy it was to get on and off of, to maneuver, etc. 3-point hitch is wonderful, too, especially if you are going to be changing attached implements very often. Eventually, most of the manufacturers went to tractors that resembled the Ford--even for cultivating. I don't know the red ones of this type well enough to advise on a model, but someone else who answers will certainly have some good ideas. But--there is nothing more beautiful than an H or M--that's my final word in a wordy answer!
