A few pics of my recent installation of a backblade on my H. All parts, valve, cylinder and hoses from Ebay for about $150 plus a new blade at about $300.

Nice job. I am looking for a 3 point for my H but so far have only found bent up ones. The guys are right about the tires. They will spin easy that way unless you are going to run in reverse to pile up snow or dirt.

Swap the cast wheel, rim and all from one side to the other and your tread will be pointing in the right direction.

Why do you have your tires mounted backwards?

The tires have directional arrows on them indicating this direction is for traction and the other direction is for road driving. Since I want traction this is the way the tire is designed to go.

So you are going to run in reverse? Implement tires that are ground driven, that is they are not engine powered are mounted the way yours are to give traction. Yours are backward and will not give good traction. What brand are those?

the directional arrows for traction indicate for traction use on implement, such as a ground driven manure spreader, on which the tires drive the equipment.
they are backwards for a tractor which is using an engine to drive the tires to pull something

Well if you look at the rims they are on backwards. The tires are mounted correctly but I had to reverse the rims to fit the tractor on my trailer. But the tires also clearly are marked this direction for traction and the other direction for road driving.

Your wheels (what you are calling rims) are not on backwards, they are designed to be used either way, dished in or out. Your tires ARE on backwards. As stated twice, the way you have them is for ground driven implements, UNLESS you intend to push that blade in reverse. I have not seen major branded tires with arrows in both directions, what brand are they? If made in China, hard telling how they are supposed to be used.

They are Harvest King, made in the USA.

The tires were mounted correctly. AFTER they were mounted I reversed the rims and dished them out so that the tractor would fit on the trailer and this is why the tread is backwards.

Nice. If the front were 10 inches higher the fifth wheel on the blade would allow more level angled blade action. A vertical adjustment on the right side would allow tilt. JimN

I'm sure you know the rims(silver color) can be unbolted from the wheels (red and dished in - in your case) with the tires still installed. The wheel weights just stay put. Then the tires/rims can just be turned around to provide optimum pulling power for your blade application. As alwys with tire/wheel work - be careful heavy and awkward, lots of solid blocking and big jacks. My nickel Dick Davis
