I have no spark at the points and i have no lights,not sure what wrong. any help would be of grest help

If your tractor originally came with a regulator, the L lead on the regulator provides power for the ignition and lights. It is rare, but I have known them to come loose inside the regulator.

if you have no power at the coil and no lights, either dead battery or bad connection/broken wire somewhere. get a test light, clip one end to tractor chassis so you have a good ground, then start at the battery and check each connection. test lite should lite up at each connection, when it doesnt, you found the problem. start by cleaning up the battery termnals for corrosion.

Your battery may be dead. You need to check for battery voltage at your ignition switch. Your switch may be fed voltage from the starter solenoid. You need to use a test lite or volt meter and trace your wires back to where the voltage is supplied. If its fed from the small
terminal on the starter solenoid check there first
and then at the switch. Could have a broken wire. Hal
