T/A clutch release bearing

Well I got the T/A clutch out of the 350 Utility. Now I need the release bearing, but don"t know how to get the old one off the sleeve. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this. I can"t figure out a way to hold it while trying to man handle it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd.

There should be two small holes in the back side of the carrier that you can use to drive the bearing off with a punch.

I just put the bearing itself in a vice, and then used a screwdriver to pry the carrier off of it.

Todd, They are not really pressed on that hard. I just took mine off a few weeks ago and I did it by just banging it down on two blocks of wood so the bearing strattles the blocks. Or you can drive it out with a punch through the inside since you are putting in a new one you don't have to worry about ruining the old one. Roger

I think a bearing splitter, a hydraulic press, and a piece of round stock to match the sleeve to push with. Best of my memory. JimN
