The very FIRST thing is to (some youve already done) remove, clean n wire brush, then re attach each n every battery n starter n starter switch n ground connection..... Make sure the battery is good and well charged, has electrolyte above all the plates, no cells have a gray or milky look, and if possible have a shop load test it.... If she still dont crank (and all cables n connections n grounds n battery are okay), you could have a bad starter switch or a bad starter or a stuck/jammed starter. Turn the lights on and If when you try n start her the lights dim way down and/or the batery voltage drops drastically, then I suspect a bad starter UNLESS the engine is stuck or the starter is mechanically stuck/jammed. Rock/turn the engine and loosen n retighten the starter to make sure its not mechanically stuck/jammed. If the ligths dont dim down n the battery voltage dont drop, Id suspect more of a starter switch problem although it could still be a starter problem like worn brushes. A battery to the starter bench test will show if a starters definitely real baddddd ddd (wont even turn at all) however since theres no load it dont really tell you that much. It should spin rapidly with no bad grinding or bearing type noises but since theres no load its hard to tell how it acts trying to turn the engine under compression Let us know what you find John T
