I am buying a 1938 F-20 that is too wide for my trailer. Trailer is 77" and currently the F-20 is about 85". It looks as though the wheel can be reversed and I will gain about 4" on each side. It is a spoked rim and the hub is the drum type mounted as you see in the picture. Can anyone tell me if this will reverse. It looks as though everything will fit inside the center drum if it's turned around and there is plenty of room between the hub and bull gear.

You are welcome to try it but i doubt it will fit. If you are going to mess with F20s you need to be thinking about a flat deck trailer.
Here a narrow tread that almost fit between the fenders. A wide tread ain't gonna fit.

Although the wheels may reverse, I do not think it will be narrow enough to fit on a 77-inch trailer.
I have hauled several F-20s on a 77-inch trailer by removing the real wheels and sliding them on the trailer. You can use the wheels to balance the load

Well I measured 85" outside width with the rims the way they are now. The hub was about 4" deep so I figured I would shave about 8" off. That comes out to 77".
Of course the measurements are all approximately and I won't know till I actually reverse them and try. Do you happen to know the width with them reversed? Looks like you've hauled them before so I assume you're probably right and it won't fit. Gotta try though otherwise it's a flat bed tow charge in addition to the tractor cost. I only paid $350 for the F-20 so I may need to splurge for a tow too. Thanks for the input.

If im not mistaken, the F20 is a rowcrop tractor, and most of them have ajustable rears. Good luck with your tractor!!

Those rear wheels can be reversed, then the H's & M's had the adjustable ones where you did not have to remove the wheels to adjust them. I'm making payments on a 1938 F-20 that has those same style round spoke wheels.

Yes, you can turn them around. You should post a picture of the whole tractor.
