I am in need of a picture of the throttle and timing advance controls for an f20 with the throttle on the steering post. Style that has them on a common shaft one inside of the other. The tractor was in pieces when we bought it the other week and I still don't have the parts or service books yet. I want to get a list together of what I need for it and am not sure what is missing if anything. I need a pic of the setup at the hood where they both go thru so I can see the linkage arrangement and how they attach to the hood with brackets. Thanks for any help you can give.

Kevin is right. The original Farmall, after about 1927, has the same governor as all F-20s until IHC went to the variable governor about 1937. In the early days,Farmall, 10-20 and 15-30 had a similar governor, but the levers and rods leading to the carburetor were out in the open. My dates are approximate, but somewhere, somebody would have exact dates if they are of any interest. I used to drive a '26 10-20 that had the open-lever governor, and then a '29 that had the type with everything enclosed.

I don't know how helpful this is, but it might be a start. These levers were pretty much parallel when all the way off (mag grounded, throttle closed) and all the way on (mag advanced all the way, throttle open). In other words, in working position, both levers were down. If you were looking at them from behind the wheel, the levers would be between 1 and 2 o'clock when up, and between 4 and 5 o'clock when down. They are adjustable at the hood end.
I may have pix, and will look when I get time.

I don't know of all the F-20 throttle arrangements, but I have photos of my 1927 Regular which has a throttle / spark connections like you describe. Might be the same.

My email is open - send me a note & I can forward some photos. Also have a small collection of other F-20 spark / throttle connections.

Justed looked through my service manuals and there are no good pictures of the linkage. I don't have a picture on my comp. to send you.
But, Try and look at the tractor photos on this site mabe there is one that will be close enough to see what you are looking for. Good luck.
