If you are infering that it is photoshopped, I thought it looked odd as well. But the other picture from a different angle shows it. I think the first picture looks odd because of the flash.

Not sure why you thought I thought it was Photoshopped....perhaps my thought process and typing don't align?
I thought it was unique as I had never seen that axle setup on a small trailer before, only on heavy equipment rigs.

I don't own any M or H implements so I am not really qualified to answer your question. I only have fast hitch stuff.

However, some implements like loaders, mounted plows, corn pickers, cultivators, and many more are attached at the front, center, and rear of the two models. Most IH implements were designed to fit both tractors.

Forgive my silly question, but what does wheel base have to do with implements? I thought the type of hitch would determine what a tractor could pull, and the horsepower would decide how big the implement could be. I don't see where wheelbase comes into play?

Wider doesn't matter with adjustable wheels.
M and H have the same wheelbase at 88.5". Ever wonder why a H has that stretched out center section or, as some call it, torque tube? It is done so that implements interchange between the two models.

It could be possible that the Smoker H does not have an H wheelbase. I dunno.

This is a much better use of an old tractor than the thousands that are being melted down every year, or just rusting away in the scrap yard or tree row. And it's an H! There were 425,000 of them made and I'm quite certain that you don't want all of those restored, do you?

It's an interesting piece of work, and I hope to make a grille out of a tractor someday... but something smaller like an F-12, and power it with an IH LB 3-5 engine.

This could be what is left of a parts tractor. If so this would be a lot better ending than the scrap yard. Would be a nice project for a club to take a parts tractor left-overs and make a BBQ. I know of a large cement co. that made a BBQ grill from a single-axel redi-mix truck. Wish I could post a picture of it. This company also has two pink redi-mix trucks in everyday use. Armand

It will fit a M as well. Probably most tricycle tractors with little or no changes.

I guess I haven't measured, but I thought the M's were a little longer and a little wider, seems like an H always fits on a trailer better. I figured an M would be too far back and might not fit between the rails.

But I don't trailer tractors too much, just to get them home. We always road them between fields, about 15 miles is as far as I have to go.

That trailer is so well done, you just have to believe the whole package is a quality item. I just hope it is not being sold because it doesn't work and can't be made to function properly. I'm already thinking about how much fuel it will take to ship it 1800 miles.

I also noticed the plug wires, oil filter, and oil pan. I am wondering why we don't see any scorched red paint anywhere.

I like it as well. You know I love the H and M, and I would much rather see one taken care of in this way, that people will enjoy to see as a novelty, rather than letting the scrap man make a few more dollars.
A lot of time and effort went into that. That wasn't done by someone who doesn't care about Farmalls. I think quite the opposite is true.

It is a clever re-use of an obsolete vehicle. Looks like alot of skillful engineering and applied imagination. It really isn't much different than converting an old mill building into apartments. Or building a hot rod from an old car. Isn't that alot better than destroying both. The tractor was probably saved from a slow death in a salvage yard. Let's face it, there are plenty of old Farmalls and parts to go around.

On another level, I like it because I am building an ice cream making and serving tractor from my Electrall equipped 400. It will still be a fully functional tractor when the ice cream hardware is removed.

Heck, I should bid on that item. I probably couldn't build one cheaper. But how do I run both tractors at the same time? Uh oh, I smell vanilla ice cream, bar-b-cue ribs, bigger truck, and a payroll coming on.

went to ebay to check it out still cant figure it out truly is a smoker complete with hydraulic drive. holes thru the fenders for the hydraulic lines. it would have been better to make it original and taken to parades than to cook on. just don't understand people sometimes.

I believe you would be having a bad day if the clutch is blown, the bull gear on one side is missing a tooth and the countershaft is worn so bad it will not stay in first. Your ptroblems today are very much why we do this. they are the sport, not the issue. YOu just found out a team member forgot her running shoes is all. JimN
