Where would I take a M"s crankshaft to have the journals checked out before completing an engine overhaul? What about the Camshaft? What about the Fly wheel to have it ground smooth? And possible a new starter wheel gear? Any ideas of what I should expect to pay for these services?

figgure 30-40 dollars to cut the flywheel. the starter gear is easy to change if you have access to a cutting torch, turn the flywheel face down, gently heat the gear in 3-4 spots around the ring, tap it and it will fall off. you can get a new ring from this site, or if yours isnt wore more than half way thru the teeth, you can flip the gear over and put it on the other way. generally a crank cut will run 100 to 300, depending on how bad. have them check the cam lobes and bearing surface. i would have the engine block hot tanked to clean it all up and new cam bearings installed. the machine shop can do all that for you.

Any good machine shop should be able to help you. You can also check at your local auto parts stores some of them have there own machine shops or can tell you where to take the stuff
