Great site.
Just need some pretty basic info. for a '57 w450. Just spent 2 weeks getting her freed up (water in the cyls) after sitting for 3+ years. And since we are getting 12" of snow tommorow, I need to get her put back together (head off only). And since my repair manual hasn't come in the mail yet....

Can anyone give me crankcase (oil) capacity and coolant capacity? I just don't want to be making a bunch of trips to the parts store in the snow when I can be hugging a frosty block out on the edge of a windy field.

Head bolt torque specs?

Thanks, will be hearing from me in the spring when it's time to actually do some real work on this rig.

I have a 1957 450 gas. It takes 8 qts of oil and 28 pints of antifreeze. Can't help with torque. Is yours a wide front 450? You must live in Mn. St. Louis is a cool 48 today and 60 Sunday then it drops.
