Our local Case/IH dealer won't repair any tractor tires with calcium. They use a private contractor to do the work. They're using used antifreeze in place of calcium. Hal

Keep it around and when you have ice or snow you want to melt pour it on. Also works well to kill grass etc. in places you don't want it to grow. Its basiclly salt so its no big deal to get rid of

Sheesh man, it's just a bunch of essentially FREE water and a few dollars' worth of Calcium Chloride pellets... It costs them more money to drive out to your place and pump it than it's worth, especially with fuel being as high as it is. Best you could hope for is if they'd come and pump it out for free, but that's not gonna happen these days unless you buy a pair of tires, have them delivered and installed...

It is not exactly a hazardus substance. State, county and city road departments strew thousands of tons on roads every winter.

Word! I used it on the pad infront of the shop. Keeps the dust down and kills the grass.

I did call my tire shop and ask if they wanted the fluid. They said yes they would like it.
I said, What would I get for it? Could I get money off rear tube?
They said, "No, we will have to charge you for taking it out."
I said, "Well, dont you reuse it?"
They said, "Yes. Why?"
I said, "Whatever..."

Is it me or is something wrong here?

If you've got anything in the way of weeds you want killed, it's great for that.

Kinda the wrong time of year for it, but it also works well for a while in holding down the dust kicked up on a driveway or the like.
