how do i remove relese bearing from clutch housing. any information would be great, thanks

Jim, never worked on a 340 and never had to change the clutch in the 300U that we had in the late 50s.
With most tractors if you remove the clutch actuator rod on the outside of the housing that will allow the clutch fork to move forward and release the cluch release bearing carrier.

Do you have the split? That release bearing cannot be removed without first splitting the tractor.

yes tractor is split, the shaft rod that goes through the clutch housing and connects to clutch bearing fork assembly inside the housing , question is how do i remove clutch rod through housing, in order to drop out bearing , the clutch rod has no retainer clips or pins to remove.
