At some point the 706 diesels switched to the "German diesel" The serial number should give that away if you run it through the serial number registry on this site. There are many on here who are much more knowledgeable than I am. Maybe they will chime in here soon.

There is a serial # plate on the left hand side of the tractor (as you are setting in the drivers seat). It is on the clutch housing.

Hope that helps.

Well we need to know if it is a gasser or a diesel to tell ya where to look for the engine # . And if you are going to be ordering bearings then one should pull the crank and have it checked before this is done as it my need to be turned or if it has been done a couple times before then ya may need to find a better crank. Never order parts BEFORE YA KNOW FOR SURE JUST WHAT YA NEED.

You have a model#706. Farmall is a row crop tractor. International is a standard/wheatland tractor. Armand
