I found the brake problem on my 574. One of the meatl lines has a hole in it where it goes under the top cover.

My question is do I have to buy a special line to replace this or can I just purchase the apropriate size brake line and re use my fittings?

I was going to take the old one off and see what it looked like but ran out of time.

Jeef, if you have the appropriate welding equipment and the hole is small maybe just clean up the area and braze over the hole.

If the brake line is like the double flared brake
lines on cars and trucks you can buy a new brake line from from any of the auto parts stores. You may need to cut it for length and you would need to double flare the cut end. Hal

i probly take a hit on this suggestion but you can go to auto parts store get a brass coupler that have the two slip on balls compression fitting and fix it that way. there probly more then enough room to cut a small pice out of the line and fix the hole.
