I was wondering, since I put 12volts on my magneto (by mistake, see previous topics starting problems).
Could it be that I have demagnetized my magneto?

Kind Regards,

Kristof

Pull the coil wire from the cap and hold it near a good ground while someone cranks over the engine. Make sure the grounding switch is in the run postion too. I would worry more about the coil or condenser than the magnets being hit with battery voltage. Hal

I thought you said you still had a spark.

Just unhook a wire and run it to another spare plug that is grounded and turn over with starter and you will soon see if there is any spark.

I doubt it but you may have cooked the coil or condenser etc.
