A couple of thoughts. I bought an old-style cloth-loom harness from an outfit that went so far as to use the original colors for the individual wires, so I could follow the diagram in my owner's manual. And in case I didn't have an owner's manual, they labeled each end of each wire with a number, and provided a chart of where each went. If yours did come from OEM, I don't know if theirs stick with the original colors or not, but I should expect they could come up with a wiring diagram for you. If not, look your harness over and trace down each end of each wire (red, black, white with red tracer, white with black tracer, etc.) and compare how the harness matches up with the diagram in the owner's manual. For the harness that runs out of the ammeter box, it would be mostly a matter of finding the way things reach and fit best on the front end, and then making sure the back end of each wire gets hooked up right. The manuals for my SuperC and my BN both had the diagrams, and it's bretty easy to distinguish where there's a harness vs. an individual wire.
